I purchased templates from a membership site and used Dreamweaver to put together couple of sites. The first one is on weight loss and the second is on Bobybuilding.

I have decided to keep the first one and try my hand at affiliate marketing. I have submitted 9 articles at Ezine Articles promoting it and am waiting to be approved by them so I can submit more. Yet to do social bookmarking for it.

One of the fastest ways of making money online is to sell websites. So I am going to sell the Bobybuilding site at SitePoint and see how much it goes for. I have already prepared the sales copy and am waiting for Google to index the site. It has been one full day since I submitted it to Google with the sitemap. But still no sign of Google indexing in spite of having done social bookmarking.

Does anyone know how long it takes Google to index/crawl a site?

Update: I learnt that the T&C of the Niche Review Templates membership program prohibits selling the sites or the templates. So I withdrew my sale from DigitalPoint.

One of the sources of money that we often overlook is the web host that’s hosting your site(s)/blog(s). Before you read further, you have a web hosting account, don’t you? If not, I recommend two excellent web hosts for you: DreamHost and HostGator.

Here are the steps to make money from your web host. These are nothing earth shattering or innovative, but sometimes it’s good to be reminded of basics.

1. Visit your host’s homepage and look for a link to affiliate/referral program. Sign up for it and keep your referral link handy.
2. Make a post in your blog about the features offered by your host and why you are pleased/happy with their services. Write in such a way that it will be beneficial to those who are semi-decided and looking for reviews. Target keywords like "<Your host name here> review".

I guess you could, if you are living in the US. Being from India I don’t think it’s worth the time and effort to try to make money by filling online surveys. As soon as I signed up for A.W.Surveys last month, there were many survey offers available to be taken up. I spent about half an hour doing all of them and my account got credited with $27. I was happy with that. I entered my email address in their awsurveys.com site so I can be notified of any survey offers as and when they become available. But fast forward to a month and I see only one offer (worth $1) in the entire 1 month period! The minimum payout that can be redeemed is $75. Quite a long way to go before I can reach that at this rate of survey offer availability.
